As we close out 2025, the volunteers of Neversink Fire Company want to reflect on a year that challenged us, strengthened us, and reminded us why we serve.
This year brought long days, late nights, and difficult calls—but also pride, teamwork, and unwavering support from the community we’re honored to protect. Our members balanced families, full-time jobs, and personal commitments, yet still answered the call when neighbors needed help most.
From emergency responses and training, to community events, fundraisers, and traditions that bring people together, 2025 was a reminder that the fire service is about far more than the calls we run. It’s about commitment, sacrifice, and showing up for others when it matters most.
To our volunteers, mutual aid partners, and community—thank you for your continued trust and support.
As you ring in the New Year, please celebrate responsibly and stay safe.

Neversink Fire Company operated this evening on the 36-02 box for a residential chimney fire with minor extension in Cornwall Borough. Engine 14 responded as the second arriving engine, with Rescue Engine 14 and Utility 14 also operating on scene.
💛 We also want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who has supported our Amazon wishlist. Items that have been donated are already making a difference — from refreshments that help keep our firefighters going during calls like tonight, to supplies that help keep our station clean, organized, and ready to respond.
While Amazon does not provide us with contact information for wishlist donors, please know that we are truly grateful for every item sent and for the support shown to our volunteers. For those who have asked how they can help, there are still a few items needed, and every contribution directly supports our firefighters and station operations.

Over the past 48 hours, our volunteers have responded to six incidents, including returning to the Lebanon City fire during the early morning hours for a rekindle. Many of these responses required extended operations, with several of the same volunteers responding across multiple incidents.
We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported our company through our Amazon Wishlist. We often have people ask how they can support us if they are unable to volunteer, and this is one of the most effective ways to help.
